Rocks and Fossils is a beautifully illustrated book that brings life to the seemingly timeless landscape. It explains geological concepts in relevant and /5(21). A good basic reference book with general outline of types and make up of rocks and fossils. Being new to geology i found it easy to read and understand, good for reference both visual and description.

Good too to expand a little and encourage further knowledge. Wouldn't suit the more informed geologist but hit the right spot for me/5(11). GNab Rocks, Fossils, Minerals, and Gems is an excellent book for beginner rock hounds, or for us old rock enthusiasts to do a little brushing up.

I am looking forward to reading the print version of this book as the photos look to be really special. This is a book I am happy to recommend to students and the curious as well/5.
